From One Studio to Two New Locations: The Ezo Ceramics Story

How a Münster pottery studio escaped a frustrating agency relationship, fixed their foundations, and grew to fully booked across two new locations just in two years.

Some businesses come to you with a blank slate. Ezo Ceramics came to me with something harder: a bad experience they were trying to move on from.

They’d been working with a marketing agency. They were paying good money. But there was no single point of contact. Every call felt like starting over with someone new. Their feedback wasn’t being acted on. The website had issues that weren’t being fixed. And underneath the frustration was a real business with a genuinely brilliant product: pottery workshops, ceramic painting, wheel throwing, JGA celebrations and team events in Münster. The kind of hands-on, joyful experiences people talk about for weeks after.

They deserved better. They just needed to find it.

That was two years ago. We still work together today.

A Different Way of Working

The first thing I offered wasn’t a proposal deck or a strategy document. It was simplicity.

A monthly retainer: five hours of focused work each month, covering WordPress website updates, maintenance, and whatever the business needed most that month. One person. One point of contact. Someone who would actually pick up the brief, remember the context from last month, and care about the outcome.

For a business owner who’d felt invisible to their previous agency, that mattered more than any service list.

We started with the foundations: a logo and visual identity that felt as warm and tactile as the clay their customers work with. Then the website, built in German to speak directly to their Münster audience, designed not just to look good but to convert curious visitors into bookings. Then the printed materials: flyers, loyalty cards, the physical touchpoints that follow a customer home. Built a contact list and sent out newsletters.

And every month since, we get on a call. We look at what’s happening in the business: upcoming events, seasonal pushes, anything that needs attention, and decide together where to focus. Some months that’s a new page. Others it’s refining the copy on the JGA and team events sections, or creating content ahead of a course launch.

The website never sits still. It grows with the business.

What the Numbers Show

Between November 2024 and March 2026 (just 16 months) the results from organic search alone tell a clear story:

  • 421,000 total impressions on Google: Ezo Ceramics appearing in search results nearly half a million times
  • 28,700 clicks: real people, actively searching, choosing to visit the site
  • 6.8% average CTR: more than double the industry average of 2–3%
  • A clear, sustained upward trend: looking at the graph, traffic in late 2025 was consistently running at roughly double what it was at the start of that period

That last point matters most. This isn’t a spike from a single viral moment. It’s compounding growth; the kind that only comes from consistent, ongoing work over time.

The Business Result

Two years ago, Ezo Ceramics had one studio. Today they have two new ones.

They moved into Münster Altstadt, right in the heart of the city. And opened a second new location in Rheine. The business has grown from a single space into a multi-location studio running workshops, events, and experiences across two cities.

And as of early 2026, they are fully booked through June 2026.

That’s not a vanity metric. That’s a business that has genuinely grown into itself.

In Their Own Words

After a recent round of updates to the JGA and team events pages, Ezo Ceramics shared this on their Instagram story, tagging my account publicly:

“Vielen Dank für die großartige Arbeit an der Website, besonders für die letzten Änderungen an den JGA- und Team-Events-Seiten — sie sehen jetzt wirklich fantastisch aus!”

“Many thanks for the great work on the website, especially for the last changes to the JGA and team events pages — they look absolutely fantastic now!”

What I Want You to Take From This

If you’ve worked with an agency and felt like a number, like your emails went into a void, your feedback was ignored, and you had no idea who was actually working on your business, I want you to know that’s not how this has to work.

My retainer model is built around the opposite of that. Five focused hours a month. One point of contact. Monthly calls where we decide together what matters most. Work that accumulates over time into something real.

Ezo Ceramics didn’t grow because of one campaign or one clever post. They grew because we showed up consistently, fixed what was broken, built what was missing, and kept going. It was a team work.

And that’s available to you too.
